Question Question about 3 Toefl preparation books, please

Hi!

The other day I was looking over the "Cambridge Preparation for the TOEFL" and I didn't like it taking into account that it is an expensive book. I found too much material useless for me like the study plan. I have over 6 months to prepare my exam, so I can improve every skill needed for the exam without hurrying up. I find Delta and Longman too expensive as well.

On the other hand, I like Barron's because many people suggest it as well as being so cheap and having lots of audio material and 7 tests. Perhaps the only thing I don't like is that it is a little old in comparison with other recent books. Besides, I haven't had the chance to browse through it.

I took a look at the Kaplan book and it seems to be good, without spending too much time in useless things (for me) like in the Cambridge's one. Also, it is cheap and has 3 cd's.

My last option is to buy the official guide, which may be coming up in the next months. The reason is that it comes from the test-makers, so it may be a good idea to consider it as well.

My idea is to buy 2 books. My first idea is to buy the Barron's one (because of the audio material) and, as the exam date approaches, buy the official guide. Or maybe you can give me your advice...

By the way, I need a score above 83 out of 120

Thank you so much

I think you made a good choice.
Barron's and OG are books I used this moment. I went through Kaplan book. Some questions are blur and difficult. I don't want to read it again. From now on, I will stay with Barron's and OG until my test date which is Dec. 9.
