Hello everyone!

I just wanna ask you guys how tough is taking toefl. I saw some model tests and i was pretty scared about having to ask too many questions for example at the reading section. How tough is it to get a good score?

Its easy just work on the section you feel uncomfortable and do some sample papers you will succeed

Well I can share you my experience, I took a month preparing for the test, and seems my method did help but not much when I was dealing with the real one, you should get the materials that teach you, and always, get yourself used to the time limit, which took me down, because during my preparation I've been always messing around and took all my time with no time limit, and when the real test came up on me, I couldnt even finish the reading section about time, the last question i missed one point..

anyway.. is always about concentration.. when you go to the test center, probably yours is gonna be different, but mine wasnt really private, people around taking the test, and sometimes you can get distracted if you hear they speaking for the answer, but perhaps you could take examples from them.. lol but i don't think you should do.. However you should focus and improve your weakest spot, like i was pretty bad at speaking but i didnt do much about it so i did very bad at speaking section..

Hi DjMax,

In my opinion (like an actual test...), your score is depend on your english level.Test taker should have -at least- upper intermediate or advance level then, you may begin to improve your level by using some exam tips...

Basic requirement is adequate english level...

if your level is convenient for exam, you will start with Barron's 12th edition for IBT Toefl.I think best one, then you will find lots of information any web site about exam.

I think most important part is, "be aware of exam contents"

It doesn't matter how many tests you do when practicing, or how many books you read beforehand... The test is always challenging since you don't know what's gonna be on it. Study the sections that you have most problems with and as mentioned before...be aware of the time limitations!

You have recently inherited a significant sum of money with the stipulation that you must donate half of the sum to a charity. To what sort of charity would you give your money? why? Use SRE.

It is very pathetic to think about a life in which there is none to take care of us. And that too a life without parents, our creators is so miserable. In my opinion, I wish to donate money for the orphanage homes. According to me, there is someone to look after the other kind of charities such as old age homes, cancer society, and pet animal homes. I mean that there is someone to rely on for emotional support. But the orphans are deprived of homes, parents and all sorts of relationship.
Moreover, I am blessed with good parents who take of me and give me whatever I ask for. Sometimes I may disobey them without knowing their value. When I am 12 years old I asked them for a dress which is very expensive. In that time, they had more expenses like mortgage, family expenditure and education. So they asked me to wait. But I am very stubborn in my demand and did not accept their words. My parents took me to the orphanage home and showed me the people who do not know who their parents are. That incident opened my insight I realised my mistake. My intuition asked me with whom these people might ask for their demand. This particular incident had a great impact in my mind.
Even though money cannot pay for the human relationship, I think this little amount can help them to fulfil their basic needs. When I was in the school, I got an opportunity to visit an orphanage home. I spent a day with those children, while talking with them I came to know, how they miss their parents. From that day I had a desire in my mind to help them. Since I was studying that time I cannot help them with money. So I used to help them with their studies by teaching them math and giving them my old books. I try to give an emotional support for them. Now I think it’s a good opportunity to serve them and make them happy.
However, the money cannot replace their parents love and care I presume that this money would certainly help them to meet their needs. Furthermore, it can give them a feeling that there is someone to take care and thereby they can forget their worries.
Hence I utterly, think that donation has more value when it is given to the charity homes like this. People who run the charity homes are like God. It certainly needs more patient and dedication because sometimes we may be annoyed when our children trouble us. But those people who take care of the homes show their true love and passion towards their job. So I think this money not only helps the children but also give a hand to the people who run it. Also, I personally feel happy and mind my mind is more relaxed. I wholeheartedly, donate money for the orphanage homes.
