I am wondering which test to take.. I'm applying for Fall-09 business programs hence I'm taking GMAT. I'm aware most US schools prefer TOEFL and UK ones prefer IELTS. I'm going to have equal number of schools in UK and US in my app portfolio.

I am yet to see if individual schools accept IELTS in US and TOEFL in UK. Just wanted to check if anyone has done this exercise before and can help me with information?

Aside, how does the two exams compare in preparation. I've been speaking and writing in English for a long time now and quite good in academic English as well.
