How do the test takers take the TSE?

Hi, there:

I am new to this TSE forum. Could somebody kindly guide me how do people take the exam? Such as when we take iBT, we talk to computer; and also we can take note during listening. But how about TSE ? In what way do they record our response ? Can we take note during the test? Sorry to ask this kind of simple question, since I have no experience about this exam.

For now, the TSE uses a tape recorder, you can use the test book to take notes. But only the test book.

There are not many books for pbt, one is called Barron's Practice Excercises for the TOEFL 6th edition with six audio cd

 

For TSE I recommend Mastering the New TOEFL Speaking - TSE
