My first essay: please rate it

It is sometimes said that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship. Do you agree, why or why not? Use reasons and specific examples to explain your answer.

Almost everyone in his life has faced the situation when he has to borrow money from his friend. There is a conception among us that borrowing money from a friend can eventually destroy or damage the friendship. I am strongly in opposition to this opinion and believe that taking money can ultimately strengthen the true friendship and culls out the false ones.

In fact in the face of need and danger one can perceive who his true friend is and who is not close to his heart. Only a friend from heart can help in time of need and if one is agree to lend money to his friend in time of requirement, the strength and purity of that friendship is established. On the other hand a friend who is not agreed to lend money when required is only an acquaintance, not a friend from his soul.

Again taking money from a friend and returning it in time one keep the faith untainted that the lender bestowed upon the borrower. From the part of the borrower it becomes the test of discipline, honesty and expediency in saving in his future life. Only an honest and decent person tries to return the borrowed money in time. This fair transaction of borrowing and returning money actually empower the relation of faith between the two friends.

When one takes money from his friend he actually makes a way for his friend to asks for the money when he requires it. As borrowing money may be embarrassing to somebody; so somebody may not want to ask for help to anyone. But it is much easier and comfortable to ask money from somebody who has already taken the help. Thus this comfort of feeling actually bring more intimacy to their relationship.

The eminent Indian educationist and social reformer Vidyasagar helped the famous Bengali poet Michel Madhusudan when he has in great distress. These generosities of Vidyasagar eventually helped the poet to recover from his penury and lead to great creations in the realm of literature by the poet.

In the conclusion, borrowing money from a friend is not any damaging thing. Rather it brings one the chance of testing the purity and strength of the friendship and the equitability of the friendship.

    Score: 4.5 - 5.0
    Comments:
    1. Do not prefer any sex.In your intro. you are again and again using "he".Instead make it universal by using "one's" . However, this is a minor thing.
    2. Is honesty and true friendship tested with money only?
( I am not opposing your stand).
    3. Good format,construction and flow.
