Topic: Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Choose one resource that is disappearing and explain why it needs to be saved. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Many parts of the world are loosing important natural resources, of which forests are being violently destroyed and we are facing a fact that our next generations would no longer have forests, that would be a catastrophe for human being. Why forests are still so important for human being who began to leave the forests thousands of years ago? We will consider the following reasons.

First, although nowaday, the majority of men don't live directly on the resource of forests. Forests are still considered "the lung of our globe". In fact, trees are indispensable for our life, especially when the industry develops faster and faster and parallely our atmostphere is being polluted day by day. Scientists have proved that trees can play the role of a filter to the air. At least, everybody knows that trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxizone that is essential for life. The absortion of carbon dioxide also help to reduce this gas believed to make our globe hotter. Briefly, trees and forests are really protecting our lives and we can never forget this.

Second, forests are not only important with a lot of trees but also this kind of system help to protect men from floods. In fact, forests are usually located at the upstream of the rivers, where many small streams join together to form a river. Thanks to the forests, the speed of water flowing through the streams is limited so that the rivers are prevented from overflow. If the forests at the upstream dissapear, more and more flood would occur. In fact, many regions are suffering this catastrophe because of the destruction of forests.

And finally, to protect forests also means to protect the ecosystem with the resources of plants and animals. Obviously, forests are the home of most the majority of the species in the world. To conserve the species, we have to conserve the forests.

For all the above-mentioned reasons, we can see that protecting forests must be the top priority of human being for a sustainable development.
