manwiththemission2005
“When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success”. Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position. As the old adage goes 'There is no substitute for hard work' , hard work is essential to be inculcated in each and every individual. Without hard work, we don't find almost anyone in this world achieving great feats. Importance of hard work should be brought into the minds of all the people, especially the young citizens of our nation. Therefore, I strongly assert that hardwork is key to success in anyone's career. Although luck favours people at the right moment for a right cause, hard work should have played a major role for success. Depending only on luck won't let a person break barriers and reach the summit. The Almighty can help us only when we do our job to his satisfaction. Only if we put in the hard work, the Almighty would reward us with luck and his divine blessings. Admittedly, scientists like Darwin, Newton , Einstein have all worked hard and they did not depend purely on luck. Although they were intelligent, they didn't take things lightly and their research brought wonders to the world and everyone started to accept and appreciate their work. Moreover, considering the poor people, only by hardwork they earn their salary. Do they depend on luck? If people keep depending on luck, no one will come up with creative work and a dearth of knowledge will be floating across the world. With the rapid changes in information technology, people need to be aware of the latest updates in their area of specialization. New products are being created with better performance. To learn these, people need to work hard and try to develop the vast technical knowledge and thereby, practical application could be achieved. The individual has to take the initiative and develop his own intellectual, technical skills by studying on his own. In that way, the individual gets to know a lot more on the subject as he has developed interest on the subject. Hence, we can't ask others to help us if we can't help ourselves. To sum it up, hardwork pays rich dividends and an individual could reap a lot of benefits out of it if he relies 99% on hardwork and the rest on luck. Although luck assists people at critical times, working hard should be made mandatory. If we work diligently to our satisfaction, we will be having a lot of trend-setters in our nation who will pave the path to a bright future.Depending only on luck hardly works. But ,depending on hard work always works. Without hard work, we don't find almost anyone in this world achieving great feats. Importance of hard work should be brought into the minds of all the people, especially the young citizens of our nation. Therefore, I strongly assert that hardwork is key to success in anyone's career. Only if we put in the hard work, the Almighty would reward us with luck and his divine blessings. [I don't know why do you use God blessings:hmm: ] Admittedly, scientists like Darwin, Newton , Einstein have all worked hard and they did not depend purely on luck. ish
Been having computer trouble. :( Very good work. you have really improved. Great show :) “When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success”. Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position. As the old adage goes 'There is no substitute for hard work' [full stop here], hard work is essential to be inculcated in[nothing wrong here, but "hard work is necessary.." is just fine too] each and every individual. Without hard work, we don't find almost[cut] anyone in this world[cut] achieving great feats.[The] Importance of hard work should be brought into the minds of all the people, especially the young citizens of our nation. Therefore, I strongly assert that hardwork is key to success in anyone's career. [good start] Although luck favours people at the right moment for a right cause, hard work should have played a major role for success. Depending only on luck won't let a person break barriers and reach the summit. The Almighty can help us only when we do our job to his satisfaction. Only if we put in the hard work, the Almighty would reward us with luck and his divine blessings. [ok] Admittedly, scientists like Darwin, Newton , Einstein have all worked hard and they did not depend purely on luck. Although they were intelligent, they didn't take things lightly and their research brought wonders to the world and everyone started to accept and appreciate their work. Moreover, considering the poor people, only by hardwork they earn their salary.[modify this] Do they depend on luck? If people keep depending on luck, no one will come up with creative work and a dearth of knowledge will be floating across[? O dont know about this..seems okay, but still] the world. [good point] With the rapid changes in information technology, people need to be aware of the latest updates in their area of specialization. New products are being created with better performance. To learn these, people need to work hard and try to develop the vast technical knowledge and thereby, practical application could[can] be achieved. The individual has to take the initiative and develop his own intellectual, and technical skills by studying on his own. In that way, the individual gets to know a lot more on the subject as he has developed interest on the subject. Hence, we can't ask others to help us if we can't help ourselves. [good point. but rather than ending with the statement that you have, bring youir ideas towards luck and end it that way.] To sum it up, hardwork pays rich dividends and an individual could reap a lot of benefits out of it if he relies 99% on hardwork and the rest on luck. Although luck assists people at critical times, working hard should be made mandatory[you could probably say "the importance of hard work should not be underestimated" or something like that. The "mandatory" idea doesnt seem very helpful to your points, it seems to me].If we work diligently to our satisfaction, we will be having a lot of trend-setters in our nation who will pave the path to a bright future.Depending only on luck hardly works. But ,depending on hard work always works. as2006
Nice essay esp the 23 min. But I have a doubt ... “When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success”. The topic does not refute the importance of hard work. What it claims is that Luck has nothing to do with success i.e. 0% contribution Infact in your conclusion you have yourself acknowledged the 1% contribution of luck, thus contradicting your own stance. "To sum it up, hardwork pays rich dividends and an individual could reap a lot of benefits out of it if he relies 99% on hardwork and the rest on luck" ???
