It is a piece of paper, specifically called, the diploma. It is years of sleepless nights of doing research papers and reviewing for examinations. It is one of those valuable things our parents give us. The meaning of education differs, highly depending on the reasons why students get an education. For many of the students today, education is a trend, a way of life. The main purpose of why these students get an education is simply because they wanted to go with the flow of life. For some, especially those financially challenged, education is their ticket to a better future. Their purpose in getting an education is for them to be able to help change the economic status of their families. Today in the age of science and technology, education is indeed a big help in uplifting people's way of life. Simply looking at the classified ads section of the bulletins and newsprints, the qualifications of the jobs usually includes a line pertaining to education. This means that having an education is an edge compared to other job hunters. Yes, it may yield to earning a lot of money, but it is more of earning a better job. When we say job, it does not only speak of the salary, but it also accounts for the position, the job description and the benefits. Being a student, my vital purpose in pursuing for an education is not to earn a lot of money but to gain a better job, a better future.
