As someone with an AA from a California community college trying to transfer to UCLA or Berkeley, do you think my chances will improve if I take the GRE. I plan to go for a PhD in econ and transferring to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
Since I will note this on my application essay and since I never had to take the SAT, do you think taking the GRE and scoring well especially on the Quantitative section would improve my chances to get into these institutions. My GPA is 3.6, but I have all As when it comes to the Math (college algebra, statistics, calc 1, 2) and Economics courses (econ 1 and 2). What dropped my GPA was Bs on Poli1, Human Sexuality, History. No Cs. Thank you, |

Hi,
It's not the answer but it's a relating question to your post so I hope it's okay to ask here. I see you mentioned about the transferring procedure but in different level (correct me if I think wrong) from undergrad to grad. However, if I want to transfer from one school to another school under the same level, will the admission procedure for me be less heavier? For example, I've already finished the requirement test (such as GRE, GMAT, etc) and have been accepted by school A. Is it easier for me to get into school B for the same major as well as the same degree level? Sorry for the off-topic question. I hope you have many good choice for your studying in the near future and for your career path later |
