Hi All,
I am a Singapore Citizen who is planning to sit for my GRE on 31 Mar 2004. What are the chances that my student visa might get rejected?? and is it illegal to apply for the DV Program while on a student visa?? By the way, I have applied for the DV Program last Dec 03. Will it have any impact on getting a student visa in the future?? Thanks.... |

Papatangot,
I have dealt with these questions at my school (Language Systems, www.languagesystems.com). Are you applying to graduate school? If yes, and you can show the financial resources to pay for your studies, you should get the visa. You may apply for the DV program if you are in the US as a student. As of this moment, and as far as I know, the embassy has no way to know if you applied for the DV program. I would not tell them! Applying for the DV program shows that you want to stay in the US! But don't worry, they will not know. ![]() |
