Can OPT be cancelled if you are unable to find a job?

Is there a new rule regarding optional practical training that one has to get a job withing the 1st three month of O.P.T otherwise the O.P.T gets cancelled?

Well it makes sense to me. It says you cannot be unemployed for 90 days (about three months). That is from Claremont University's website..... I don't know where they got that info, I will look and see if it is available on a govt website somewhere. But we can safely assume they got the info from a govt website. Only thing, it might have been a PROPOSAL, and not be law yet.... but I doubt it. I would trust Claremont on this.

Bad news for people using OPT just to stay in the USA.... but I think the rule is reasonable if you consider the purpose of OPT and the F-1 visa.
