All i see here is posts for US, has anyone here applied to canada and been approved ?

I am going to apply for study visa to canada. Right now I am waiting for my TOEFL results. Probabaly I will get it in 2 weeks period. then my procedure will start. Di you already apply to canada. If so which place?? satya |

Hey satya n Bigduke
here's another one who wants to know all abt VISA to CANADA. I am still applying to unis after my toefl. Preparing for GRE .......but most of unis I saw had only asked for TOEFL. But I keep hearing that one shud give GRE even though if one gets admission on basis of TOEFL only. WHats all that abt ?? DO u guys have any knowledge abt that ??  |

Hey satya
Yes I know that only u of toronto , mcgill , mcmasters (recommnded) ask for GRE. But my seniors keep telling me to give GRE as it becomes big question during VISA Process. Canadian embassy always ask if u have given GRE....it somehow shows that student is serious abt grad studies or something. |

hi minud,
What is your back ground? I think for science background people dont requir GRE. I dont know about engneering. I am planing to apply from Germany. I dont know what they will say. If embassy people say that I have to go India... then it will be very expensive for me. Do you have any Idea? can I appear VISA from germany? |

Yeah I am doing Electrical Engineering.
No I don't know if u have to come back to India. Student Visa is temporary visa which I guess one can from Canadian embassy anywhere. Am not sure though yaar. U better check soem immigration lawyers website ....or u can contact canadian embassy in germany asap. embassies usually have separate office for helping students. U can call them on phone too. I hope this helps |

Hi minud,
How much score you got in your TOEFL?? I applied to Alberta university in Canda and I got conditional admission. Condition is TOEFL (minimum req is 230) I got range 173 to 237. I am waiting for my final score. Which Universites you are planing to apply in Canda?? |
