Tino
Your father is your sponsor? He is the one providing the money for your studies? Tino

Tino
You your father's support will be listed in your visa application? I assume so. The answer is that your Father being a greencard holder might be a reason to reject your visa application. Tino
galisuman
thank you tino but just wondering even if my dads name is mentioned what difference does it make, I wont mention about his status until unless asked even if asked I am going for education not to settle as i already studied in New Zealand so will there be any chance to argue with visa officer
Tino
Dont lie, because they can check, and if you lie you will be denied. You are right, only answer what asked..... but I think this information is asked for on the DS-156-158..... I would have to look again. galisuman
I was not rejected mate still in process of applying and my father is green card holder of USA nd I am concerned that his green card status might not help me get student visa as the visa officer might think I am a possible immigrant
