Your father is your sponsor? He is the one providing the money for your studies?
Hi everybody as per title you have guessed I am applying for masters and going for spring 2011 the problem is my father is green card holder and he is sponsoring me and my friend told me that if your father has green card you wont get visa is it true I am kinda scared as I dont want a denial stamp on my passport I am even ready to withdraw my I-20 but I must be sure I will get visa???
You your father's support will be listed in your visa application? I assume so.
The answer is that your Father being a greencard holder might be a reason to reject your visa application.
thank you tino but just wondering even if my dads name is mentioned what difference does it make, I wont mention about his status until unless asked even if asked I am going for education not to settle as i already studied in New Zealand so will there be any chance to argue with visa officer
Dont lie, because they can check, and if you lie you will be denied. You are right, only answer what asked..... but I think this information is asked for on the DS-156-158..... I would have to look again.
I am going to apply for the visa can you explain why you was rejected and your father is a green holder of which country and what happen if he is the green holder. whats the concept behind it i couldn't understand can any one explain it for me
