Alien Registration Card
Do I still need a visa screen certificate to complete the processing for an ARC? I'm a Medical Technologist and I still haven't passed my TSE. I thought the visa screen certificate was needed to get approved for permanent residence. But I got my approval letter last week. Now I'm instructed to go to an INS office to finish up the process for an ARC. And a VSC is not one of the documents indicated on the approval letter.
Now my question again if anybody has any idea or experience is do I need to my VSC as one of the documents to show when I go to the INS office? I can't get hold of any person at that particular office and I will be travelling quite a ways to get there. So any info. would be appreciated? Thanks. |

Re: Alien Registration Card
You need the Visa Screen to show to the Dept of Homeland Security to adjust your status. Is your alien reg card based on employment or your parents or relative sponsored you to US? If you are sponsored in US base of employment you need VS but if your family sponsored you. you don't need it. I am med tech too.
