US H1BVisa in Foreign Location
Dear all,
I am an Indian,Currently working as Software Engr. in Malaysia and Since i got an offer for a job in singapore , that Job Visa is in process in Singapore by the time the documents are ready for H1B Visa. So I thought by the time the documents reach me I will be getting the Visa for Singapore. So I mentioned my company people to have the US Consulate in SIngapore as address on Documents for stamping. Now I got the Documents addressing to US Embassy in SIngapore. But Still I didn't get my Employment pass to Singapore but had Visiting pass to enter Singapore for multiple entry for 1yr from Malaysia. My doubt is can I go to the US Embassy in singapore on Visiting visa and can I have stamping for H1B by producing the required documents there, As the Company people are addressed to US Embassy in Singapore. It is very urgent please reply me soon to my mailid arunvv@yahoo.com. |

Re: US H1BVisa in Foreign Location
The best answer for this question is: Contact the U.S. Embassy in Singapore and tell them what happened. They should be able to give you the BEST advice.
If you have a visitors visa to Singapore, you should be able to go to the U.S. embassy in Singapore for your visa. H1B visa application generally is easier than F1. Fill out the DS-156 and pay the regular USD100.00 for application (with methods specified by the U.S. embassy at each country) plus some additional money by cash, if your interview is successful. Bring your petition together for the interview. Thank you. |
