I have applied to 10 colleges for Fall 2006 and I am hopeful to get an admit in atleast one.
Now considering the VISA queue, I was planning to book an appointment now itself maybe in late July.
As before, I went to www.ttsvisas.com and it shows everything closed after February. Cant I book my appointment in July now?
Or has the process changed? I know it has changed for Mumbai people thru VFS etc but I plan to book an appointment in either chennai or kolkata.
Did I miss anything?

u will fall into a trap if all the ADMIT/Reject decisions are not received of thy list...
my seniors in mumbai, booked date in june for thr july interview...justcoz thr ambitious bet status was: WAITING

When do you suggest me to apply for the Visa?
Actually, I am little paranoid on this issue when I had applied for business Visa B-1 last year. I had applied for a slot in March and tried in January. I didint get a place in Chennai or Kolkata and had to go to Delhi where I got my appointment. So I hope it does not happen this time
BTW, I have a 10yr B-1 visa for US. What happens if I get a student visa, will the first one get cancelled?
