Question visitor visa for US from India

    Hi,

I'm currently in US on H-1B and my fiance wants us to get married here in US as his entire family is here. My parents already have visitor visas, and my eldest sister is a US citizen. Now the problem is will my brother (who is married and has a little daughter of age 2) be able to get visitor visa to attend my marriage??

What all documents will I need to send for him to get the visa easily. He is a pharmacist and has a medical shop in India.

I'll be really thankful if anyone can let me know, what all document I need to send - to call my brother (& his family) here in US for my marriage.

    Regards,
    Hema

Well I'm not an expert on this matter.
But I don't think it will be a problem

If it seems like a prob, I think the best solution is to join a 2-3 week USA tour organized by various companies. (u can tell them to give it at a reduced cost, since u dont need the hotel acoomadation, meals or anything)

    Madame,

IMHO marriage is a rock solid reason for acceptance of VISA, as long as you can prove that you really intend to marry.

To prove this register yourself with the authorities for a court marriage and produce that document as support.
If you need info about a court registered marriage in US, reply here and I will fetch the info for you.

I say this as only court registration will suffice for the happy couple to prove that they are getting married.

You may have to assure that,he leaves the country after marriage and does not stay with you, as he will be on a visitor VISA. (of course He may get into a spouce F2 dependant after you are married and continue to stay with you)

Dont do the VISITOR VISA thing through a tourist company etc. That would be foolish, in case your so called "Travel VISA' is not approved.

So take the legitimate and safest path.

You also need to send me invite for the Wedding as you may need an expert opinion any time. I am married too.

You have to get US Marriage Licence from "District Justice". Now you'll have to inform me about the state that you are from, or try a google serach using the highlighted terms.

Also note that Wedding ceremony is a valid reason for getting an emergency VISA appointment.
