Hi,
I have a problem regarding my F-1 visa. I was admitted to the US University a year ago. I have been studying at that university for one semester. Not satisfied with the program of study I have decided to leave the United States and got back to my home country with the intention to get in the other school that suits my interests best. So, my question is whether I will be able to use my present F-1 visa or not if accepted. Should I apply for a new visa? I got an e-mail from the local US embassy saying that in this case I need to reapply for a visa. However, I also received many replies from the International Offices of the universities I am going to apply to that I should be able to use my present visa if it is still valid. The reason for that is that I attended a university for which my visa was issued. |
