A regular hexagon like this has simply 6 equilateral triangle therefore,

Area of hexagon =>area of 1 equilateral angle*6 =>(sqrt3*a^2/4 )*6.

The area of the hexagon region is :

6 * [ (6^2)*sqrt(3)]/4 = 216*sqrt(3)/4 = 54*sqrt(3).

Answer is A. :)
