nice question!

At the first, it seems that the x coordinate of the point is 4 (and i still believe it is!): so the question becomes

4 vs 4.26 --------> B

BUT

second approach

Since the line is 45 degrees.....

we can consider 6 as the Hypotenuse of the right equilateral triangle with the 2 legs equal to the x=y coordinates

We know (by ETS math review) that in this case the

hypotenuse= leg* SQRT(2)

in our case then

6= x * SQRT(2) ------> x= 6/SQRT(2) (AND THIS IS COLUMN A)

comparing now

6/SQRT(2) vs 3*SQRT(2)

I would say C !!!!

hope somebody would solve this....

to start with, as line passes from 0,0 & has slope angle as 45egree. X-coordinate & Y-coordinate of any pt. on the line gotta be same, ie, for x=1, y= 1, for x=2, y=2 and similarly.

so, in our case, condidering the right-angled triangle,

6^2 = x^2 + y^2

or, 36 = 2* x^2

or, x^2 = 18

or, x = 3 sqrt2 (<--- note, we are dealing with sides of triangle, also workin in th 1st quad.)

hence, Col. A = Col. B
