Hi everyone, I found that U of T seems to eliminate the doctoral stream from their application website and I was told by them they no longer distinguish between doctoral and regular stream, but you can still choose phd courses if interested. But I saw on GC some people still post they are admitted to the doctoral stream. Does anyone receive an offer explicitly indicating you are admitted to the doctoral stream or just mention it as an option for you? And do you think MA at UofT is still a good choice if they no long have the doctoral stream. Thanks.

Got offered the option to take PhD courses- I believe they have eliminated the doctoral stream (I.e, more funding, mandatory PhD core courses). Functionally, however, if you were to take those courses, the quality of the degree is still the same; it simply offers you the option of taking only one or two PhD courses if you choose, rather than all 3.
