Hi! All of you,

I am just starting to prepare my GRE ,:shy:. And many university dont want the AWA score as the requirment.I am trying to get admission in MLIS.
Kindly give me the information about is the AWA section compulsory or optional?

Well, if you mean compulsory in the sense that they will not let you leave until you finish your essay, then, no, it's not compulsory, just as the Verbal or Quant sections are not compulsory.

If you don't write an essay, you'll get a 0.0/6.0 score. Whether you want to do that is up to you; I, of course, could never recommend doing so, though.
