Dear Friends,

I am here on this Forum to get tips on GMAT and also to make use of the MATH and VERBAL discussions. I would like to share something about how AWA score
on GRE is taken into account.

Lets say someone gets 5.5 / 6.0. Add 2.0 to 5.5 = 7.5. Scale 7.5 by 100 = 750.
Its like saying your Analytical score is 750 now, considering the fact that you
have attempted for 800. So, add 2.0 to the AWA score you receive, and scale
that by 100 and thats your AWA score in terms of old GRE syllabus.

Hope this helps. If you want to crosscheck, you can ask the universities you are
applying to. Thanks.

~ Srinivas.

I doubt if the score is still apprehended in the /800 format. All institutions now acknowledge the 6.0 point system with .5 increments. The interpretation for which is provided by ETS on the result card.
