Hi there

I downloaded a couple of word docs containing analogies and antonyms, looks like the word docs are pasword protected. Any ideas on how to access these files.

thanx

Hello, everyone.
This is Wooseob Jeong, assistant professor in the School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. I'm also running supervoca.com.
Recently, I added "GRE/SAT Lessons with Pronunciation". GRE has about 3000 words, and SAT has about 5000 words. Each word has its pronunciation right away. For your real study, after every 10 words, you have to finish a review test to move on.
Please, check them out.

http://supervoca.com/lesson/gre
http://supervoca.com/lesson/sat

Or, simply visit http://supervoca.com
Of course, everything is free. Nothing to sell. No popups!

Well, according to my students (Americans), supervoca does not make sense. Rather they suggested me "supervocab". So I added another domain: http://supervocab.com
Real English!

Thank you very much.

When I started again (after a disapointing result on my first attempt a month ago) I decided to change the "sit-study" technique for a "fun one", for example for vocabulary I got copies from the Vocabulary Cartoons I and II (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0965242269/qid=1075689602/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-7956239-8163940), and also did my own flash cards with pictures (very childish by the way), and made sets that I would carry with me all the time, for example on the car, beside the toilet (don't laugh it is a good spot) so if I had a couple of spare minutes I flipped through them. Also did a set with the Kaplan's word groups and complemented them and made new groups, such as happy-sad words.

I also went to the web and found some links that are targeted for younger students (highschool or less) where I did not feel I was under pressure.

GENERAL
- http://www.syvum.com/gre/

MATH
- http://www.aplusmath.com/

GEOMETRY
- http://www.gamequarium.com/geometry.html
- http://www.geometry.net/math_help_desk/math_games.html

VOCABULARY

Together I did the Kaplan CD almos all of it and both Kaplan's workbooks. At the same time I did the small quizzes that come with the Barron's words, but without studying the words from there, just for the practice.

For the last week I concentrated on doing practice tests both in paper and CAT. The day before the test I kept away from all my notes, books, even the computer, did nothing but things I enjoy and went to bed early.

The key for me was to be more relaxed and study in a "lighter mood".

Check out www.bigcdtests.com (http://www.bigcdtests.com) for some real good tests. The site has some online timed tests with look alike screens. However, the site needs you to register once before taking them. Worth a look....
