dear all,
Im having such hurt time with the concept
induced dipole_induced dipole interaction. LONDON DISPERTION FORCE.
dipole_induced dipole interaction DEBYE INDUCTION FORCE
ion_ ion, ion dipole, and ion induced dipoleforces
permanat dipole interaction
CPR doesn't give exemple for each type of interaction.

if any body can break it down for me I will be greatfull.

god blessyou

Hi Friends

Look at the below website with simple explanation only for Vanderwall forces. I will explain others as well. wish you all the best.

Hi Dear Friends

There are two types of intermolecular forces
1. Vanderwall forces
2. Hydrogen bonding forces

Vander wall forces

Dipole-Dipole
Dipole-induced Dipole (Debye force)
Induced dipole-induced dipole (London dispersion forces)

vander wall forces are the weekest. Among vanderwall forces London dispersion forces are the weekest. I hope the examples given above in webistes gives good insight about the concept. Wish you all the best.

Best Regards

Ohm

god bless you Ohm, I didn't expect a reply this quick
.
could you please if you have time help with:blush: .

1 surface and interfacial tension (non newtonian substances.
2 shear dependant viscosity pseudoplastic behavior
3 time dependant viscosity (plastic thioxotropic systems.
4 avoidance of particule particule interaction, magnitude of the charge .flocculated defloculated dispersion (zeta potential)

please don't bother if you don't have a time

hi, ohm,
thanks for the posting general chemistry sites.
i am requesting you to post any source for oxidation, reduction, substitution, addition reactions,
because i am facing confusion in these topics.
especially which group favour oxidation and reduction, substitution, addition reactions with examples.
thank you so much in advance.
bye and good luck.

Intermolecular forces from the weakest to the strongest:
1- hydrophobic bonds
2 - electrostatics bonds:
a - Van Der Waals
- London (induced - induced dipoles = dispersion)
- Debye (permanent - induced dipoles = induction)
- Keesom (permanent - permanent dipoles = orientation)
b - hydrogen bonds
c - ionic bonds
3 - covalent bonds
4 - metallic bonds

Hope it helps.
Fafy

take this quiz
khadija i think if u study 50 qs per day in manan and u finish 100 so in 18 days u will finish and may be ealier the next half of manan q& a is small qs with some repeated qs it will not take long as much as 1st half so do not get panic make it hard to finish them in 15 days then u will have additional 2 weeks to cover the other areas
good luck

tyhanks Mona
I feel like I need to go through CPR once again( the chapters that i studied) but don't know what is the wise thing to do practice questions and try to undrestand every thing there or go through CPR one more week.
Im afraid if I go through CPR again it will be waisting of time since the material there is very volatile, and will lose the opportunity to go throught the questions.
pleaeeeeeeeeese advice

r examplelook khadija u already taking a tour in cpr with manan shroff me to in same situation but what i did is:
for part 2 i concentrate most on each spacific characters of each drugs for example for carpamazepine it makes thrombocytopenia, steven jhonson, has active metabolite, induce its own metabolism........ofcourse the mechanism of action and i skip the other details coz it alot and some time not specific
for part 1 i take it more deeply concentrate on functional gps, metabolic pathways , acidic & basic drugs
i do not know how to deal with the immunology yet i hateeeeeeeeeeeee it so much
concentrate also which drugs has anticholinergic action it is imp
the info is also volatile to me so what we gonna do we must keep on and on
so concentrate right now on the most imp topics ok
