Does anybody know rutgers funding policy? I have found out that every admits are without funding? Will they give any financial aid in the following time?

That's false.

I've been admitted to Rutgers with funding - fellowship + TA (just got the formal letter today, and the TA-ship eventually grows to 27 k :o).

I am not sure. It seems that they want you to be prepared to pay all by your own. Their financial statement form lists all the expenses with an estimated 4-7 years of study.

I heard that they fund very few--about 3--people per year at admission to the program. Yet some get TA positions after the first year, though this cannot be guaranteed.

filroz: I received both email and paper letters (one of the paper letter gives all the details on the funding)

The webpage status says "I have been recommended for admission"

mine says:"Admission will be offered once financial documentation has been received and approved. (https://admissionservices.rutgers.edu/graduate/helpText.hlp?helpFunction=APPLICATION&helpScreen=STATUSRESULTS&helpSection=STATUSFINDOC)"
but no other details in mail...
