Naplex TIPS From Members

Hi,

I have just combined (copied and pasted) some of the tips members have posted in last couple of months. Remember these postings represent individual experiences and all of these may not be applicable to you. I prefers focusing on some quality material than confusing myself over so many resources available. Choose the one you think is right for you.

One more thing...I think user 'temp' is prontopass agent or so because he/she is the one who promotes that material over so many posts. Do your homework before ordering.

Hope this helps.

"I read APHA primarily, though its true that it does not cover everything asked in naplex,so I took a lot of help from CPR (brought during my fpgee),Remington and internet too.For maths I used stoklosa and manan cal. (from fpgee).I was lucky that I didn't get any pharmaeconomic question, but I had few questions on statistic like p-value,chi-square and types of error.I got question from most of the major topic including HIV and cancer.Got 2-3 questions from sterile products and pharmaceutics too,so don't ignore those topics.

CPR generally for antibiotic,OTC and for pharmaceutics and pharmaeconomics chapter.

I used APHA ,kaplan for maths and practiced some online test from chasenaplex.com and the Lange Q & A book.

My test was extremely random with questions from mostly all the topic, lot of counseling and combination drug for which I found the above mentioned online test useful, though it doesn't contain calculations, about 15 math questions for which kaplan is sufficient and 4-5 statistic questions.

This time I focussed my mind on Apha,I read 80% of Apha throughly, used prontopass only as reference this time.Used stoklosa for maths. My advice is to practice maths for 1-2 hour daily for 3-4 weeks if not good in maths.Focus on couseling, diagnostic, symptoms, classes, side effect and MOA of dugs.

I studied APH once then before revising I gave all the practice test from chasenaplex.com (as suggested by lot of forum members) I scored 60% only. Then started revising APHA again.I made a list of all important points of each chapter,so that I can go through those before my exam.

Stoklosa/Ansel is good for maths,or if you have manan calculation that will also do.

used the internet to study calculations ( milliosmole, milliequivalence), some conversion, statistics, epidemiological studies like odds ratio, relative risk, errors etc ( wikipedia really helped), surgical equipment and home medical devises( coloscopy , peg tube etc)."
