    B is the answer

    Let M - number of males, F - number of females

    Need to compare (M+F)/2 and 0,55F+0,35M given that F = M+20

    (M + M + 20)/2 compare with 0,55(M +20) + 0,35M

    (2M+20)/2 compare with 0,55M+0,35M+11

    M+10 < M+11, thus (2) is sufficient !
