Hi All,

I have started my GMAT prepartion on 1st June. I have done OG11 /10 , Kaplan 800, Cliff,Princeton review.

This week i have taken 3 separate test (800 score) for verbal and quant.

My score are as follows:

Quant Verbal

Test1 : 51 (33 right) 34 (26/41)

Test2 : 59 (1 wrong) 37(27/41)

Test3 : 59 (1 wrong) 34(26/41)

I am not able to finish the verbal section during exam time.

As soon as i will get RC question my performance will fall

drastically. In all the three tests i have made my first mistake

in RC section. My reading speed is less on average i am taking around

5-6 mins for reading one RC.

Please suggest me how to tackle this.

My GMAT date is :23 Sep 2008

For reading comprehension, speed is not the most important.

In my opinion, the most important technique is to get as much information as possible in just ONE reading (since you probably do not have much time for second or even third reading.)

Please note, there are 4 RC passages, thus, they should be short, so, try to remember the details of the passages, (as you go through OG10 and OG11, you should discover that a lot of questions are about details of the passages.)

Practice is the key, apart from OG, try 1000 series, or GMAT+ or any past papers from LSAT, and GRE, Also, any older editions of OG you can find in the university library or public libraries should be helpful, too.

If you have time, try:

nytime.com

newsweek.com

businessweek.com

By the way, what is 800 score?

how can I get such material?
