rajechP Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 1. 2M+5W---> take 4*3 =12 days to complete the work; 2. 3M+5W---> take 4*2 =8 days to complete the work; (1 man joined and 1/4th of the work was done in 2 days) => 2M+5W---> can do 1/12th work in 1 day------(1) => 3M+5W---> can do 1/8th work in 1 day----(2) Subtracting (2) from (1), we get 1 man can do 1/24th work in 1 day or 1 man takes 24 days to complete the work.
