How do we determine what is 19th century, early 19th century, later 19th century, 20th centry, early 20th century, late 20th century etc.??

RY??? Din't get your Q??

Are you simply asking which years are included when we say the 19th Century, it's all the years Starting with 18, ie. 18XX, or 1800-->1899

similarly, 20th century is from 1900 to 1999.

We are presently living in the 21st Century.

say, we Re-start the counting of years from 0, and say you have just joined Harvard, Then we'll say, RM is in his 1st year of college.

Even though, the year is 0, you are in your 1st year. Similarly, when you are 20 years old. (say born in 1982, 20 years complete in 2002. So, you have lived 20 years, but started your 21st year). You have actually Stepped in the 21st year. ie. 20 years are complete, and you are in your 21st year.

early 19th century can roughly be taken as 1800-1825 or even upto 1850's.

Later 19th century would be 1860-1899.

Similarly for other years.

This is what you were asking, right?
