A man has 8 pairs of gloves with each pair having different colors (8 different colors altogether). If he selects 2 gloves (one at a time without replacement) what is the probability that the 2 gloves will be of the same color?
= 8/16 * 1/15
1 * 1/15 = 1/15. The first glove can be 'any one'. The second one must belong to the same pair.
Agreed with Dimas.
(8C1)/(16C2) = 1/15
Got it ... Agree with u guys ....
1 x 1/15.... first glove can be anycolor (1) second glove has to be match the first glove (1/15)
