In anatomical terminology superior (from Latin, meaning 'above') is used to refer to what is above something, and inferior (from Latin, meaning 'below') to what is below it.
Thank you for your answer. I wtite it in my blog. By the way, I found determination this both too. Superior having a seniority or leading with respect to a specific quality or distinction.
