Google, and you will find. It's for PhD and not in some sciences.
Hi folks, I have some queries regarding the awarding of Fulbright scholarship ( in India).
Query 1 ) What are the criterion for granting the Fulbright scholarship to prospective applicants in India ( I mean to ask- What criterion do they evaluate in order to select candidates for a Fulbright scholarship)?
Query 2) Secondly, in India, How can one apply for a Fulbright Scholarship?
Do they evaluate GRE and TOEFL scores,GPA etc before awarding a Fulbright scholarship?
I ask people to elaborate (when they reply) to my queries.
I have already done that! I would not have asked this question in this forum had I found out the relevant information by 'Googleing'.
I need a clear answer to my query, I somehow can't find the information I need.
@ Geek Goddess : Although this is discursive I want to know the following things about you ( I hope it is not intruding on your privacy, if so , I apologize)
Are you from India? If not, it is fine.
I surmise I have read somewhere in this forum that said you had a great GRE score, If so, can I know the universities you had applied to ( the course/specialization also) and did you get fee waiver/scholarship/fellowship (if any) solely on your GRE score (or did they consider other things) ?
Does a great GRE/TOEFL score result in a definite aid, can it offset an above- average GPA (if one had it) ?
I found the website to be quite useful, I will try to tell you if I know more.
I am from India. I am applying for a Master's program, not a PhD. My university scores are not very great, and the 3-4yr problem prevents me from direct application to a PhD program. I have got through LSE's EME 2 years without any funding.
Try your best on improving on your profile in any way possible. Since school's don't know much about the indian education system, they do not know how to judge you on the basis of your marks. A good GRE score definitely helps, but it depends also on the program you are applying to.
Thank you for joining forum.
