prince_zuko
I have applied for PhD (Electrical Engineering) admission in UT Austin for Fall '08. I am an international applicant and my application status is showing "all credentials received for admission" for a long time. Is it natural to get admission decision this late or is it just an evidence that I am not going to be admitted? :(
fuwing2007
It may be that late. I have also applied PhD in Mathematics of UT austin. They said they will make decision in mid-March. Are you a japanese?
prince_zuko
No, I'm from Bangladesh. Do you know anybody getting any decision from ECE department this year (international applicants)?
The Silent Warrior
i think, you should directly ask this question from the concerned department that How long do they normally take to reach the final decision about your admission status after the submission of the entire application package. I also asked this question from some of the universities even prior to submitting any application, and was replied appropriately by most of them. As far as I got the info, the range varies from 4 weeks to 12 weeks to get a confirmation in writing but I cant say anything about UT Austin in general or its Elec engineering department in particular.
