Oscar Ceasor
People who make decisions based on emotion and justify those decisions with logic afterwards are poor decision makers. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ One of the most important thing to everyone faces is to take a decision. Decision rests on lot of factors such as situation, resources, environment, emotion, logic and many more. Each person has his own way of making a decision. It can also be said that decision making is a subjective task. Many times we have seen that people make decisions based on their emotions and many proverbs are said by successful people such as 'Always listen to your heart'. And later they justify their decision by logic. Many times these people tend to make wrong decision as they do not weigh other options and go by their gut feelings. Since they fail to take into account other factors, they may face failures. Such as many times we choose products which are less expensive without checking their warranty, quality etc. Sometimes these quality, features etc make high cost more justified than other other products. May be they require less maintenance and breakdown. We are told to consider after effects of our decision on our life, family, work etc. At such instances it is not advised to make decisions just based on emotion, since, many life can be dependent. These can be seen into life of middle class, where person who earns for his family has to give up his luxury so as to support his family. During such phases it is more important to thing by logic rather than emotion. The person can certainly enjoy his pleasures during holidays, such as if a person loves to visit a particular place every weekend, he can visit that place but he should visit them once in a weekend or during bank holidays. In order to make leaps you have to take unconventional decisions by considering your heart. Only you can understand your potential and after reaping the benefits of decision justify them logic. One such example is the desire of Bill Gates to make computers available at common people house. Many company did not accept this idea as they wanted the computer technology to be secret. He took a huge risk and now we can see that he is the richest man alive. In making a decision one has to see his priorities along with the opportunities available, current situation and environment and finally arrive at a suitable one. In the end a person has to also consider his family, work life while arriving at a decision.
yoshiyoshi
Hi! It's not that bad but I think that you need to improve grammar in this essay. You can do it at this website. "One such example is the desire of Bill Gates to make computers available at common people house. Many company did not accept this idea as they wanted the computer technology to be secret." I don't think this example shows the main issue of the essay. I don't think that it was a decision based on emotion. Maybe try finding another example? :distracted: Edited November 18, 2016 by yoshiyoshi typo
