Jennifer has $400 more than Brian has. If she were to give Brian 20% of her money, then Brian would have23of the amount of money that Jennifer would then have. How much money does Brian currently have (before exchanging money)?
Let brian's money be x and Jennifer's y.
1) Y - x = 400
2) X + .2y = 2/3 (.8*y)
So (3/2)*x + .3y = .8y
(3/2)x = .5y
Y = 3x
Plug that in to 1)
3X - x = 400
X = 200
Thank you this is really in very easy steps you did this question
