Illusionz
Hi, I am just beginning to study for the Quant section for the general GRE exam. I have nooo idea where to start and which books are best. Does anyone have any preferences with respect to books or know any great websites online? many thanks, Angela Hi Angela. I faced a similar problem when I started Quant about a month ago. What seemed to be obvious to most was Greek as far as I was concerned. A little bit of googling in addition to a detailed search of TM however, yielded the following results which I found extraordinarily useful : General links for basic formulae and practice questions http://www.swt.edu/slac/gre/GREQUANT.html (basic formulae) http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14622 (basic formulae and flash cards) http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/gre/math_help.htm (basic formulae and practice) http://www.syvum.com/gre/ (lots of practice questions) http://www.number2.com/exams/gre/companion/preview/index.cfm?s=0 (some more practice) http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25423 (GMAT Official guide questions - you might need the Adobe korean font for this) Link for the Adobe Korean Font : http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrasianfontpack.html (File size : 5.2MB) Links on Probability/ Permutations and Combinations http://regentsprep.org/regents/math/math-topic.cfm?TopicCode=permut (Permutations - formulae and practice) http://regentsprep.org/regents/math/math-topic.cfm?TopicCode=combin (Combinations - formulae and practice) http://www.themathpage.com/aPreCalc/permutations-combinations.htm (practice questions) The credit for these primarily to goes to Dingus, Scheng75 and hinanshaikh.
