Hi. Does someone know how competitive RICE's PhD Marketing program is? A number of their professors seem to have CB research interest (which is unusual of US). I have done MBA (4.0 CGPA), BBAIT (3.85 CGPA) GRE 1280 (90th V, 60th Q ), wroking as a teacher in Pakistan teacheing graduate level marketing (about 1.5 yr experience). No published research but had research project in masters, not a strong math background but taking a number of math courses online (calculus, liner algebra, game theory) with no credit hourse but with probably a course completion certificate..
Second I am interested in viral marketing and none of the professors there have it on their CVs. But I talked to one of the students in RICE and she said that my specific area of interest in marketing is not a factor (at least not a big factor) in admission decision.
Also what are some good universities in US that fit my current profile?
