d0rM03D
Hey everyone, I would appreciate any advices concerning choice between two particular Master programs where I was accepted: Toulouse School of Economics (M1, no funding), Erasmus Mundus Master: Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics (scholarship offered, mobility track 1sem: Bielefeld, other sems: Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona).I've red lots of threads here about both programs, but there is no direct comparison. Sure QEM is more preferable because of full funding, but expenses for studying in TSE are comparably small. Speaking about QEM, my mobility track means that actually I will study IDEA (IMEA) program of the UAB. And as I understood TSE has higher academic reputation. My current specialisation is Math Methods in Economics, which I was studying for 5 years, so I have good math preparation and also some knowledge of economics. Thanks in Advance. napoleonrong
I also receive an offer form QEM. I think this program is nice, but I am still waiting the result from the US.

aaaaaa
however 2 most famous professors in Toulouse has died recently, this school still have very good reputation in whole europe especially if you want to continue your study in PdD you better choose to TSE. the reason i speak like that it is not because i love this romantic and unforgatable city:)

fp3690
If you mean JJ Laffont, he died five years ago, that's hardly recent. Very untimely though, he wasn't even sixty.
michele
I am thinking to apply to the Master of Science in Economics at LUISS Guido Carli. I have hear is a very good masters with some students this year getting admission to Princeton, Columbia and Northwester. A friend of mine suggested it. It is better than Bocconi and Rome is better than Milan. It is also as good as UPF and costs less.
