If you want an academic placement, by all means Columbia!

That is what I initially thought but all the placements listed on the Wharton website are academic placements. Also I thought I could be happy in Michigan-Ann Arbor but not sure about the location. Really want an academic placement over anything.

Because it doesn't? The program is new, and this and last year's candidates did not do well. Before that, BPP graduates did not do well either. Then again, I have never seen a complete list of placements. Do you have one?

I wont have a complete list till the flyout which is on the 2nd. Could you tell me more about last years placements since I am clearly not aware of them.

The Wharton Applied Program is relatively new, so going with them (rather than the Standard Wharton program or the Standard Penn Econ Program) is going to be a risk no matter what your interest is. Columbia is an excellent place for applied economics AND international, so I'd think you'd be happier here. Again, as always, I probably have a bias, so go on the flyouts for both to see for yourself.
