OmittedVariable
Greetings all. Offer season is getting down to the wire, and I hope all of you are having a successful one. I wanted to see if anyone had any insight into the quality of the program at UW-Seattle. I'd seen posts from previous years detailing a tight funding situation. Additionally, the US News rankings place them in the 40 range, which I have seen other members say can be indicative of programs with issues. In particular, I am interested in econometrics and macro/financial economics, in the latter of which UW is ranked higher in the EconPHD sub-discipline rankings. Unfortunately, because I am located internationally at the moment, visiting the department isn't an option. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Yu Bai
Do you get an offer from U of Washington-Seattle?
Shalom Ichthys
I think the State of Washington is having a tight funding at this moment and budget cut seems inevitable. Do you have a chance to visit Seattle? Sometimes, a place you want to stay is conductive to studies.
