    Hi Guys,

I might be panicking a little bit, a bit too much maybe, but what if I don't pass the qualifying exam the 1st and the second time? Get kicked out? then what????? I mean, I am mean at this point a PhD in Economic is everything I want! what should I do? No I don't want to apply for a job or get a Master's in Econ then quit, is there an alternative solution?

Your only choice is to apply to weaker schools and hope that they will give you a chance. I know someone who did this and ultimately got his phd.

Thank you so much, I think you are right, then I would have to hustle again. Good thing I wouldn't ask for financial support since my dad is paying for everything. I just would ask for credit transfer at least some! But let's hope I pass! I am like beyond nervous! There is nothing worse that going to class and now knowing what is the professor really talking about!

Don't worry. If you are doing fine in coursework, then you should have no problem passing.
