I don't know whether they roll out interviews or not but they are rolling out the acceptances as the professor Akerlof says that.

    Re: 2019 Admission Sweat Thread

So I finally lose my patient and send emails to all the schools that haven't reject me yet, and I think I should share the information with you guys. Not very much new information but more like they confirm some guesses.

UCI - "First-round admission offers were announced last month, followed by a departmental recruitment event earlier this week involving those applicants who have received an admission offer. It is not clear at this point if there will be any subsequent offers made, but I suspect not. Decision letters for candidates who are not being offered admission are typically made in mid- to late March. We have not done that yet for Fall 2019. " (I would interpret that as they are done with offers this year.)
Caltech - "decisions will be made soon and applicants notified by the week’s end." (Probably like UCI, they wait a long time to send out rejections)
NYU(GSAS) - refer me to the Q&A website, completely useless information
BU - "We have not finalized all of our decisions yet—and some applications are still under review—but yes, we did send out first-round offers. We should have a decision on your application shortly." (FYI that was last week, so I would stay optimistic about BU)

Keep calm and everything will be great guys!

    That was all.
    Thank you for the info.

    Re: 2019 Admission Sweat Thread

I am curious about the admission process of waitlisted people. Does a school announce one-by-one for those people when a new vacancy is made? or does a school wait until April 15 and announce at once (up to the # of vacancies)? If it is hard to generalize, at least, I would like to know for the cases of Michigan, NW, and San Diego. Million thanks

I don't know Rick. They usually send all (Admissions/Waitlist/Rejections) on the same day.

They only have 10 scholarships for first-year students.

Does it mean anything if I haven't heard anything from UCLA?

I believe I am done, but can anyone told me which were the last news your received from Carnegie Mellon? Does anyone received anything about the Economics or the Economics and Public Policy program?

I have a Skype interview with CMU Economics this afternoon. The emails I've received say that CMU has a shortlist of people to whom they want to give offers, and they're deciding who to pick from the shortlist.
