Jacques10
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but I am actually been reading you for a while. I am currently at my first year (out of two) of a MSc in Economics at a very prestigious european univerisity. Could you please suggest me which are the top rated PhD programs in economics across europe, with particular emphasis on macroeconomics? Thanks a lot to everyone who will help me in making up my mind
d7r
I think that in a first time, you should look at the IDEAS, and then analyze each programs... there are rankings with respect to a variety of fields. I know that Barcelona GSE is really good in macro.
Jacques10
Thanks, actually I have looked at a variety of rankings, including the one from Tilburg (which I think uses a slight different methodology from ideas) but it seems to me they are quite discording
tutonic
UAB/ Barcelona GSE have people working in macro. That being said, most European schools tend to have a good group working in macro. If your interests lie in fields of applied micro, it becomes much harder to find a match.
padma
Hi. Does anyone have insights about Ph.D. programs in Europe which would be good for game theory and/or microeconomic theory? Thanks.
