Top European MSc's to apply for

    Sponsored Ad:
As I've mentioned in a post before, I do have an offer for EME LSE which I'm deferring until next year due to financial constraints. This means I can also apply to other European schools in the meantime, especially because they're often cheaper. Which others would you recommend?

I plan to apply to (on top of LSE) UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, TSE, PSE, UPF, CEMFI. The ultimate aim would be to apply to a strong school in the US after or get admitted to a strong PhD programme in the UK.

    Any others you would recommend?

Maybe PSME in Paris, if you like Russia the Vladivostock State University or Novosibirsk State University, or the Stockholm School of Economics (I hear it's a great place to live) ???

Personally, if you're eyeing for a top PhD programme, there's very few programmes that can beat EME, both in terms of prestige, as well as placement.

Although, doing well in a non-EME program (I hear itís ridiculously difficult) would be much better than having a bad class here and there in the EME... I think it depends on risk tolerance and ability to get involved in research/other things in addition to the coursework. You can always work as an RA after your masters degree (like I plan to do)...

Thanks for both of your responses. Funding is tough for me so I'm drawing on personal savings and loans from the bank, which aren't necessarily guaranteed next year, so just want to have some options just in case I can't attend EME. Although, ideally, EME is the goal.
