Has anyone heard anything from UNC-Chapel Hill? They're another one that's way overdue compared to last year.

Nothing on my end. UNC is taking surprisingly long to get back with admissions. Same with other schools this cycle, actually.

I had an e-mail from Columbia inviting me to their visitation day next month, but I am on the waitlit. Anybody else on the waitlist had a similar e-mail? Is it worth it to go even without being admitted (if they end up accepting me I will very likely attend).

Do people on the waitlist usually get invites to school's visitation day? If I'm on the waitlist and haven't heard about the visitation, is it not a good sign?

It is 100% worth attending. You should treat the visitation day as a sort of implicit interview. You'll want to be very polished in description of your research interests. When they have you fill out the form for who to meet with, try to choose faculty who have departmental influence, share your interests, and might push for you. If faculty like you, you'll have a good shot of being moved up in priority on the waitlist. (Addendum: you should be direct about the fact you're waitlisted, and that you would absolutely attend if admitted.)

Has anyone been admitted/waitlisted at Georgetown? There are a bunch of rejections at Gradcafe, so I assume not hearing anything is a positive sign? But at the same time it seems a bit strange as so far the majority of schools sent out acceptances and waitlists before the rejections.

Has anyone with an acceptance from UCLA heard anything from the department? I haven't heard anything since the decision was posted by the graduate division in the portal, and I really want to know if there's any funding.

Rice is having 2 graduate students conduct admission interviews this year. This feels like an insult. I already withdrew my application.

Doesn't make sense to consider attending a school that can't even spare a few faculty members to conduct 15-minute interviews for prospective students.

Really no clue, I don't think so. I have 3 wl, only one invited me to attend visitation day.
