southerncharm
Hi, I'm taking a bunch of math courses and a few econ courses before applying in fall '22 cycle. Some schools have deadlines in early December. In these instances, will they look at the courses that I take in fall semester 2022? I'm planning on taking Analysis during that semester, and want the course grade to have posted by the time they consider my application. Are those fall courses generally taken in to account by adcoms?
petheory
Yes, they do. I got an A in grad micro in the fall and that is important. At the same time, don't take too many classes in the semester you're applying. Concentrate on analysis and do well.
limeade
For schools with deadlines before fall grades are released, is it considered good practice to email these schools with fall grades once they are released, even if it is past the deadline? tutonic
Yes, you should just email the department admin with your fall grades. It might or might not be taken into consideration, but it definitely can't hurt (since presumably, you'll only consider sending Fall grades if you did well).
