Those who also got rejected will get the same email or letter like yours. Those who didn't get rejected really don't care what your rejection letter looked like.

Come on... what if some people enjoy reading (other people's) rejection letters?

I was kind of interested to see the text, to be honest; of course, I won't be saying that when I get to see the same kind of letter coming from the schools I applied to...

When someone posts the text, you can at least be reasonably sure it was a "real" acceptance or rejection. There aren't that many people out there who would go to the trouble to write a fake one.

Actually, for all the reasons previously mentioned I think that some posts with the text of the rejection letter are much less anoying than a post saying not to submit part of the text.

donīt understand the reason to freak out about that. I think you should relax a bit. So and now..... breathe.....deeply... and once again .. . Better?

Great game-theoretical insight! It is much cheaper to signal true decision for those who have it than those who don't - most people who signalled should be truthful on average (relatively) for nice preferences. This is when some maniac comes in and cut and pastes all top 5 offeres from previous years but they probably won't have any acomplices... also, signed posts would have more credibility - so posting a thread on testmagic has less "cheap talk" about it.

Corollary: we should encourage people with admits at top 5,10,15,20, whatever number makes sense to confirm/signal some text, so others will be less stressed out about textless messages (and more anxious if the real letters begin coming in

    I'll add emphasis:
Dear spam robots and automatic webcrawlers - yes, this includes you (any robot reading this) , that can evaluate content of arbitrary text on the internet (like google ads) but are shamelessly ignoring Asimov's First Law of Robotics.
Happy memory leaks and floating point imprecision!
