I plan to apply to a PhD program during the coming months.
Originally from Israel, I'm a 30 years old and plan to finish my masters in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota at May 2014.
My main issue for the applications is that I'm not sure what's the appropriate program / research area for me at the moment.
I am a computer science major with high quantitative skills. However, my interest is more in Security Studies, Cyber policies and Middle East issues.
From one hand, I would like to use my comparative advantage (working with numbers). On the other hand, I want to make an impact on Israel's future in the Foreign Policy / National Security arena.
As far as I understand, using my comparative advantage means to apply to Public Policy Departments. On the other hand, my real passion and interest is at issues from Political Science departments. I would be happy to get your tips.
